BIRTHDAY BALLOONS AND BACKGROUNDS

Hi. Lisa here.  This week we are showcasing the New Background Builders that just released!

I am using
And

I just love this pair.
You can stamp the stripes than build on them with the other shapes and sentiments.
My card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  Kraft panel is 3 3/4 x 5.  I inked up my stripes stamp then placed my Kraft panel directly down on top of the inked up stamp then placed a piece of copy paper on top and rubbed all over gently. Then I stamped my sentiment in between the stripes. Easy

I also used my latest set

I stamped the balloon on patterned paper then cut each out.
Adhered twine to the backs then made bows and adhered to the fronts. Then popped them up and tied the twines into a knot. Fun easy card.

RECIPE:
STAMPS:Doodle Birthday, Stripes 201, Stripes 202 (A Jillian Vance Design)
PAPER:White, Kraft (Papertrey Ink), Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic (American Crafts)
INK:Kraft (Papertrey Ink), Memento Tuxedo Black
ACCESSORIES: Dimensional Tape, Doodlebug Design Twine, Score Tape

Introducing Stripes 202

Hello AJVD fans! We are introducing our new Background Builders this week. What are Background Builders? These are background stamps that fit an A2 sized card. Instead of patterned paper, use a Background Builder to create your very own.

One of the sets is called Stripes 202. Although it was designed to work with Stripes 201, you can see that it also works well as a stand-alone set. The black and pink pattern at the bottom of the card was created with the diamond stripe. I stamped it horizontally in pink and then vertically in black, making sure I lined it up where the diamonds met. I noticed the remaining white space created a cool star pattern, which I filled with some small bling.

Next, I stamped the straight line from the set to look like a music staff, and then stamped the notes from the set Music Notes. I stamped the happy birthday stripe above and below the musical staff and then finished it off with bling. I can't help myself when it comes to bling. I love it!!
